Description: Taken at Brooks Falls in Katmai, this dedicated mother bear shared every fish she caught with her cubs. She patiently taught her cubs the difficult skill of fishing off the top of the falls. While I was there one of the cubs got the hang of it-to the delight of the observers on the platform. It's a humbling experience to see how hard these bears work to catch the salmon. I love this photo-the bears looking at the salmon, and the salmon staring back!
