Alaska magazine Photo Contest

Description: In Alaska, encounters with amazing wildlife can be around any corner. I was on my way home from a grocery run when a friend called to let me know of a large bull moose stalking a cow with two yearling calves in our neighborhood. I had been hoping for the opportunity to capture some bull photos and fortuitously had my camera in the car, so I was able to park on the side of the road not a quarter mile from my driveway and watch in awe one of Alaska's giants on the hunt for a mate.
