Description: Alaskans know all about winter preparation. This Hoary Marmot was busy this summer storing loads of grasses for the winter in the den it will spend the colder months in. We caught this healthy Marmot running along a somewhat unusual spot on the rock walls in Sadie Cove, Alaska (Kachemak Bay) on a wildlife boat tour.
