Title: Capturing the Eagle’s Eye

Description: A happy accident! I happened to press the shutter button at the perfect moment to catch the eye of a bald eagle between the open beak of a raven. Two eagles were perched on a log at the river's edge, likely taking a break from eating salmon, and this raven decided it looked like a good place to perch too. The raven was very "talkative" but the eagles didn't seem to mind. There was fog hovering above the river that hadn't yet burned off in the sun, giving the scene a muted gray appearance. Photo taken near Eagle Beach in Juneau, Alaska. Gear/settings info: Nikon D7500, Tamron 18-400mm lens (600mm equivalent), focal length 400mm, handheld; f/6.7, ISO 200, 1/500 sec.
