Description: The backcountry of Alaska is like nowhere else on Earth. I've taken a kayak into the backcountry multiple times, but this time was definitely the coldest. Ice breaking off of the glacier behind us created this otherworldly scene where we ate homemade barleycakes and Nutella while taking in the landscape with the snap, crackle, pop, and occasional bang of the ice and glaciers.
