Description: Several years ago, my parents were visiting from Western, NY, and we embarked on a memorable journey from Anchorage to Homer. During our stay at Lands End, I found myself comfortably nestled in bed, only to be greeted by a breathtaking sight as I rolled over and opened my eyes—the moon rising gracefully across the bay. By some stroke of luck, I had my camera by my side, fully charged and ready to capture the moment. It was a significant feat, and the resulting photographs exceeded my expectations. Overwhelmed by the enchanting moonrise, I couldn't resist sharing the experience with my mother, who happened to be staying in the room next to ours. In a flurry of excitement, I reached for my phone and texted her. To my delight, she was wide awake, eagerly awaiting her own encounter with this celestial spectacle. Together, we shared an extraordinary moment, united in awe of the moon's ethereal beauty.
