Description: We watched this mama and her 3 COY (cubs of the year) play, sleep, eat. We sat very still, and finally, she stopped and nursed them so close that we could hear the cubs purring. Who knew that bear cubs purred? Who gets to hear it in the wild of Katmai National Park, Alaska? It is not usually humans. Getting to watch these precious little ones and their ferocious, loving mother was truly epic and heart stopping.
