Description: A very lucky and chance encounter allowed me to capture a sea otter who had just given birth and was initially unaware of my presence. She cleaned her pup, consumed the afterbirth, and then put the pup back on her chest as she floated by me, giving me the perfect opportunity to capture her baby's first picture.
