Description: This photo was taken on the Boreal Trail at Creamers Field in Fairbanks, Alaska. It was take using a camera that has been converted to Infrared (IR). The sensor on the camera only records infrared non-visible light. I switched the photo to black and white and the equisetum grass along the trail is actually green but shows white in the IR spectrum giving it a cotton candy effect.. IR provides a totally different perspective to light and color. Canon 30d, converted to Infrared, f10, 1/80th.
