Description: One evening in early May, I ventured to Anchor Point with a couple of friends to photograph shorebirds. Along the beach we spotted some Bald Eagles as they dined on fish carcasses left behind by careless fishermen. We stopped and crawled along the rocky beach, inching closer to the iconic birds of prey. I had a long lens and a wide angle lens on a second body nearby. I switched cameras just when this adult bird came flying in and was locked on as it glided in and up for a nice landing. The sky couldn't have been more perfect and this bird hit the best possible spot. I wouldn't have made this had I had my bigger lens. This is a once in a lifetime type shot for me.
